NextGen Innovators Inc.
NextGen Innovators was born when Elyse Fox introduced the idea of hosting an entrepreneur market in West Hartford, a vision quickly embraced by Melissa Geller and Laura Barash. Together, this trio launched the first Pop Up Kids Market in February 2020 at West Hartford Town Hall, marking the beginning of an inspiring mission.
Following a longer than desired hiatus due to the challenges of the pandemic, another entrepreneur market took place in October 2022 at Blue Back Square. As time passed, Elyse and Melissa pursued their own paths, all the while remaining deeply passionate about the vision and mission.
In the midst of these changes, Laura Barash, unwavering in her commitment, continues to ensure the ongoing success of the entrepreneur markets and enlists volunteers to get involved. Recognizing the immense potential of the mission, she rebranded and transformed the organization into NextGen Innovators, securing nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
At NextGen Innovators, our mission is clear: to provide young people with real-world entrepreneurial experiences in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe in equipping the next generation with invaluable skills through hands-on experience, fostering resilience, creativity, and adaptability.
Why is experimenting as a young entrepreneur crucial? Because it teaches young minds to embrace challenges as opportunities, to persevere through setbacks, and to envision a future where their ideas can make a difference.
As we move forward under the banner of NextGen Innovators, we remain committed to inspiring and nurturing the innovators of tomorrow. Join us in empowering young minds, igniting their entrepreneurial spirit, and helping them realize that their potential knows no bounds. Together, we're shaping a brighter, more innovative future for all. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
